Weekly Round Up: Friday 17th April

In this week's tour news we had an announcement from Auckland group Miss June who are touring the country in May to support their new EP Matriarchy, which is set to be released early next month and sees Die! Die! Die!'s Andrew Wilson come on board as a co-producer. We received word that the talented sibling trio of Kitty, Daisy and Lewis are returning to New Zealand for the fifth time to tour their forthcoming album The Third. Also announced this week was the incredible line-up for Australian three-day festival Splendour In The Grass, which sees Blur, Florence And The Machine, Tame Impala, Earl Sweatshirt and many, many, more great acts on the bill.

In release news, we shared the new Yu-Gi-Oh! inspired cut from rap duo Heavy from the forthcoming debut album Lock In. Christchurch outfit Nakey premiered their slick new single 'The Nakey Dream' from their upcoming debut EP. Also coming out of Christchurch, sound artist Anto Pascoe let loose his eight track effort To Escape through local label Melted Icecream. And globally divided outfit Badd Energy unveiled new single 'Don't Forget', while hinting at a new album in the works. And on a slightly different note, congratulations to Jakob, who took out the Taite Music Prize 2015 for their fourth album Sines.
