Music Managers 2015 Winners Announced

The Music Managers Awards 2015 ceremony took place last night and saw Ashley Page take home the top trophy for Manager of the Year. It was the first time Page had been awarded the title which was a well-deserved win for his work representing Broods, Joel Little, and Jarryd James. The award for Breakthrough Manager of the Year was handed to duo Nick Dwyer and Dick Johnson (pictured) for their hard slog in raising the profile of their dance music project Weird Together.

Also on the receiving end of some awards was The Powerstation for Best Large Venue for the third year running, while The Kings Arms took the trophy for Best Small Venue. The awards, which aim to celebrate the oft-unsung heroes of New Zealand music were held at The Tuning Fork in Auckland.

Manager of the Year: Ashley Page (Broods, Joel Little, Jarryd James)
Breakthrough Manager of the Year: Nick Dwyer and Dick Johnson (Weird Together)
International Achievement: Scott Maclachlan (Lorde, Sol3 Mio) 2nd year in a row
Self Managed Artist: Andrew Spraggon (Sola Rosa)
Independent Tour: James Southgate (Devilskin ‘We Rise’ Album Release Tour)
Large Venue: Powerstation 3rd year in a row
Small Venue: The Kings Arms
Industry Champion: Brendan Smyth
MMF Mentoring Program Achievement Award: Katie Thompson – Quirky Music
