Live Photos: So Laid Back Country China - Meow, Wellington
Desert drone outfit So Laid Back Country China celebrated the release of their debut album on Friday night with a show at Wellington venue Meow. According to the band the record, titled With Knees Of Honey In Goodbye Canyon, is about "a fictional place, the strange rituals that happen there and how the world looks when you leave and return to normality". It was written in solitude by bandmember Michael Keane before being taken to the rest of the group for fleshing out, and was influenced by the Nevada Desert, Utah Canyons as well as instrumental guitarists William Tyler and Robbie Basho.
