Listen: Sparkle Kitty - Tender

After a period of hibernation, Christchurch dream-pop outfit Sparkle Kitty have emerged with the new single 'Tender'. The track kicks off with a melodic intro reminiscent of Taylor Dayne's 80s hit 'Tell It To My Heart', but 'Tender' deals with more serious subject matter. The song was penned by vocalist Lucy Macilquham after the death of her grandmother, prompting her to sing about her first real experience of grief and its uncomfortable silence. Macilquham is accompanied by Anna Provan (keys), Chris Wethey (bass) and Simon Brouwer (drums/programming). Take a listen below...
