Come celebrate the launch of FLOWERFIGHT'S debut single I Gotta Know

Flowerfight is an Auckland based pop-rock band with a touch of ska. Last year Flowerfight formed, took out the Auckland Region of Battle of the Bands, represented the competition on Good Morning and Noelia won Best Drummer! Flowerfight is a fusion of different musical tastes from each band member. Ivan and Noelia grew up in Argentina while Samantha and Justin and thoroughbred Kiwis. Together they mix rock, pop, ska and even a bit of reggae to create a sound pleasing to the ear and a vibe everyone enjoys!

They will be blowing the roof off NECTAR! Set high above the Kingslander, Nectar Bar over looks Eden Park with its gorgeous garden and scrummy tapas and COCKTAILS!!!

To best describe us, we take one home grown rhythm Machine, groove and layer that over a smokey organ and the soul funk pipes of a preacher, we then serve it red hot with a pair of southern fried guitars and our own honey mellowed harmonies.

A vintage sound, made modern by a group of 5 young North Shore musicians, The Rubics are a fresh band with a full sound, with an ever-willing nature to jam. Rock n Roll, Blues, Alt Rock.
