Tour Information
The legendary Fokofpolisiekar to tour New Zealand.

From Cape Town South Africa Fokofpolisiekar was formed in 2003, initially as a joke to shock- and rattle some cages of a mostly conservative South African Afrikaner community. The name, meaning “F@#k-off Police car” was the main catalyst for the controversy but it soon evolved into so much more.

But in a post-apartheid South Africa, where kids reach to find identity, the band's songs quickly became anthems and their rebellious attitude and cynical outlook adopted as what it means to be a young alternative, free-thinking Afrikaner.

In 2009, a documentary about the band was released. Fokofpolisiekar: Forgive Them for They Know Not What They Do premiered at the 2009 Encounters International Documentary Film Festival in July, where it won the Audience Award. It was released nationwide in theaters across South Africa.

Always innovative, they recently launched their own Beer called “Dag Dronk” meaning “Day Drunk”.

The punk-like Afrikaans vocals gives the band a very unique hard-rock sound. Their material can be compared to bands such as Alkaline Trio.
Discography: Lugsteuring (2004), Swanesang (2006), As Jy Met Vuur Speel Sal Jy Brand EP (2003), Monoloog In Stereo EP (2005), Brand Suid-Afrika EP (2006), Antibiotika EP (2008).

Recent singles: Dag Dronk(2012), Paranoia(2014)
