The Wellington City Shake-Em-On-Downers Album Release

The Wellington City Shake-'Em-On-Downers, just as well known for their infectious riffs as for their unorthodox yet brilliant animal husbandry, will be releasing their untameable second album, Live At Orange, into the wilds of Christchurch on July 10. Hand-reared on a diet of Count Basie, Cab Calloway, and a convincingly milk-like substance made from the fermented tears of joy of literally tens of fans (thanks for the pre-orders, mum!), Live At Orange is full of New Orleans swing with teeth and claws.

Joined by those elegant and deadly jazz falcons, Devilish Mary and the Holy Rollers, the exotic flora, fauna and bacterial cultures on display at the Darkroom on July 10 will be worth marvelling at and watching out for. We bring the music, you bring the meat.

Show starts at 8:30pm sharp, $10 entry for a truly wild evening.
