Something about this doom folk band has captured Auckland’s underground. Something about them tugs at its heart with songs that manifest an ethereal reach speaking for us the unconscious thoughts we are trying to say but don’t quite know how to say … Mice on Stilts says it. And it's being said to alot more people. If you've attended the Kings Arms recently, you may have caught one of their notable gigs opening for Anathema.

In New Zealand music history there comes along bands who have connected at the right time in the right place with people who needed their expression, they rise out into the masses who wonder where they’ve been all this time. This is that band. This is their time. Don’t be the later ones who wonder with bemused faces. Be existential. The metamorphosis comes to life with WRBM giving voice to the catharsis effect of human experience. It's a bittersweet, sweetbitter, butterly sweetly bitter weaving and tapestry captured by singer/songwriter Raji and expressed with guitarist Rob Picot [Shards of Sky, The Mechanism], Sam Holdom [Skinny Hobos], and Cam Roots.

An expression of the sound and resonance of the human effort, WRBM has been a monthly regular at Wine Cellar for the last couple years pursuing a steady momentum for the last few years and recently on Fancy New Bands, Bfm.

A familiar name to the Wine Cellar, Lilo Peaks is back again with Moonshine Method to drown your ears and hearts in a saucy electronica set. The sound of Lilo Peaks is the genius of Alicia Lineham and if you’ve never seen her set live...this is something you must change immediately. You can bet that a resonance will shift your molecular arrangement to suddenly be aware of the intricate delicateness of your mulled wine or feijoa cider. An immeasurable experience is imminent.
