Battle-ska Galactica Hits Meow

Wellington band Battle-Ska Galactica are purveyors of unique high-energy ska
music. Experienced and dedicated followers of the skank, BSG take pride in
their record of filling dancefloors and leaving their audience invigorated and a
little bit puffed!

Guitarist Saali Marks says:
“Ska music is a whole lot of fun. It has the energy of rock music, the skank of
reggae, the swing of jazz and the groove of funk. It’s like the ultimate dance music -
I challenge anyone to have a bad time at a ska gig! ”
Made up of the primordial soup of the Capital’s most accomplished musicians,
the members of Battle-Ska Galactica share a love of old-school Jamaican and
British 2-Tone ska, and have fused this a with a bit of anything goes. Punk, Surf
Rock, Trippy Dub and politics share the mic with Ragga, Ragtime and pints of
beer, in a heady mix that cannot be ignored!
Battle-Ska Galactica’s 2012 debut album “Everybody’s got an opinion” received
excellent reviews, and is available on iTunes, Bandcamp and selected good
record stores.

BSG are working on tracks for a second release this year, and if you come to
