Sabu Toyozumi

Audio Foundation and sound explorers are proud to present one of the greatest living improvising drummers – Sabu Toyozumi from Japan.

Sabu has performed with a who’s who of jazz and avant-garde greats from Charles Mingus to Keiji Haino to Les Rallizes Denudes. For his first ever NZ tour Sabu will perform throughout the country with Daniel Beban (Orchestra of Spheres), Tom Callwood (The Phoenix Foundation) and Jeff Henderson (Audio Foundation).
