Jazz Club - Rodger Fox Big Band

The Rodger Fox Big Band has been invited to perform at the 60th Monterey Jazz Festival and to record at United Studios in Los Angeles.

The Jazz Club is privileged to have a preview of the bands proposed festival performance plus some swing plus Erna Ferry on vocals. We will be performing the material we are working to perform at the 60th Monterey Jazz Festival and to record at United Studios in Los Angeles.

This will be a blend of material written for us by star American composer / arrangers Bill Cunliffe and Matt Harris. Both performed with the great Buddy Rich Big Band. Add to that some New Zealand originals and some swing material from the Woody Herman and Buddy Rich big bands we have a show. But there is more - star New Zealand vocalist Erna Ferry is also on the bill with a blend of jazz standards through to the blues.

Proceeds from this performance will go toward the Monterey Jazz Festival project.
