Long Road Home - a literary spoken word and musical feast, brought to you in association with LitCrawl Wellington and Pirate & Queen!

Long Road Home is a journey along Karangahape Road, from dusk to dawn; from a blood red sunset to the neon lights, and into the darkness that lies beyond. We meet friends, some alive, some departed. It’s a scrapbook filled with love letters for the person, and the place, that you have to let go.

Notorious, glorious, colourful, K Road is equally loved and disdained. It has long been a beacon to the outsiders. Now time is catching up. Gentrification has been fast tracked. But will your boutique apartment be soundproofed so the Cool Club Culture you want on your threshold doesn’t get the Noise Control Office on your speed dial, And are you happy with late night deals going down in your alley' Or with the homeless sleeping rough in your doorway. Can you live on the edge of a sterilized blade. Will the strip still cut it if the knife is replaced by a silver spoon'
