Wellington Jazz Club presents *Hot Cafe*
Wellington Jazz Club's August gig on Sunday 20 August @ Meow Event Venue will present *Hot Cafe*, a quartet playing Gypsy Jazz for your enjoyment. This small group of very experienced and popular Wellington musicians, Nik Brown (violin), Leigh Jackson (guitar), Nick Granville (guitar), and Nick Tipping (bass), will play music in the style made famous by Django Rheinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and their Quintet of the Hot Club of France from 1934 through 1948. This will be a gig ranging between exciting rhythms and slower romantic gypsy jazz style. If you were at their gig in March 2014, you will want to hear them again, and if you missed it, here's your chance to listen.
Come early to secure a good seat. Doors open from 4.15pm, gig runs from 5pm to 7pm.
