Pales at the Old Fever Hospital

For this Old Hall Gig we have a performance by Pales, ghost stories read by Baz Macdonald from Vic Books, and some spooky new poetry from Chris Tse.

Pales is the musical undertaking of Rose Blake, Mike Isaacs and Scott Maynard. Drawing inspiration from musicians such as Tiny Ruins (NZ), Other (NZ), Seth Frightening (NZ), Elliott Smith, Angel Olsen, Grizzly Bear and D'Angelo, the members of Pales combine a unique range of skills from their diverse musical backgrounds, including both jazz and classical training, with a wide and varied instrumentation to create intricate and emotive folk compositions.

As it's also fireworks night, we're asking all audience members to bring along a torch, so that we can trek you all up to a spot to watch the fireworks at interval.

The Ward is a venue inside the SPCA, which used to be the Old Fever Hospital, and it's definitely definitely haunted. The SPCA will be running a cash bar (this gig is not BYO) raising money to give all the animals a nice Christmas.
