EYEZ (UK)

Eyez is a fast-rising grime MC from the Midlands of England who's rapidly making 2017 his own. Grime is no longer just a London thing and at just 23 years of age Eyez is one of the MCs giving the genre a distinct regional voice.

“I want grime to be like hip-hop is in America,” said Eyez. “In America, you've got Texas rappers, New York rappers, New Orleans rappers, all that. In the UK, it’s still a bit like London, Manchester, that’s it. And that needs to change.”

And things are changing. Culture sites including Complex, Highsnobiety, UK Grime and GRM Daily have tipped Eyez as one to watch in 2017.
