Barney Mcall Gospel Piano

The Steinway Concert Grand Series D is back at Freidas and this time with Australian Barney McAll - giving a solo performance of gospel -spiritual tinged compositions. This will be a rare opportunity to experience an international artist of this calibre up close in the intimate setting of Freida Margolis with a world-class grand piano.

Barney McAll is a Grammy Nominated, ARIA Winning artist who has played on over 100 albums and released highly acclaimed 14 solo albums and he will draw here on his experience playing in church for six years in Queens, New York. Barney has worked with a who's who of international music greats including; Dewey Redman, Maceo parker, Fred Wesley, Aloe Blacc, Gary Bartz, Roy Ayers and Kurt Rosenwinkel. Of late he's been musical director for the pop senssation Sia.

This will be Barney's only New Zealand performance outside of the International Jazz Festival in Wellington.

This special event is being presented by Jonathan Crayford in conjunction with Freida Margolis.
