kazaamBLAM! has been tearing up Wellington dance floors since 2006, shifting paradigms with mashed up electric rhapsodies from the relative comfort of an airtight spacesuit. With an eclectic sound ranging from sprawling psychedelia to live mash-ups of pop trash, to densely lyrical hip hop about addiction and the 'ultimate fate of the universe' to rip-snorting harmonised guitar solos, kazaamBLAM! is an onslaught of intense entertainment. kazaamBLAM! is accompanied on-stage by Ridiculoid, a brooding alien overlord projecting tight visuals in sync with the music and occasionally interjecting with dark predictions of humanity's doomed future... How could you look away!
kazaamBLAM!'s alter-ego Richard Falkner is a regular on the Wellington music scene, having played psychedelic surf with The Side Effects, travelled the world with Aussie big beat legends sonicanimation, and later producing and playing bass guitar for Wellington disco-metal sensation Cortina. Now he is ready to bring his own dirty sound to the world via luminary garage label Stink Magnetic.
