About The Comedowns from Auckland
The Comedowns formed in Burnaby, Vancouver in 2004. Shows at the Roxy, Railway Club, Candy Bar and Buffalo club in North America, a recording at Fiasco Brother's studio and radio play have helped the band's popularity gather momentum overseas.
Tours around major Canadian,US, Australian and New Zealand cities and an appearance at Indie Night in Canada presented by C-Fox 99.3 gave rise to the band's work with producers from Greenhouse Studios.
‘For Your Pain’ is the latest release from The Comedowns. Recorded at Neil Finn ' s Roundhead Studios in Auckland , New Zealand in May 2008, and sound engineered by Neil Baldock (Crowded House, Kayne West, Liam Finn, Shihad, Bic Runga). The single Dissolve has recieved a radio play on a number of different stations worldwide on Cfox 99.3 in Vancouver, English Breakfast Radio Show 99.4 FM in Amsterdam, The Liam Farris show on Radio Kidnappers and on the 'Hoodwink strikes back' show on Aucklands UPfm and it has received high rotation on the Rock FM in New Zealand .
