From the ashes of the Wellington punk and hardcore scenes comes NO LOVE LOST, a brutal metal party in your pants.
A band willing to break musical and scene boundaries to bring you a symphonic metal party that will rock your pants off, and broaden your ideas of modern rock music.
Blending huge synth landscapes with chugging thrash riffs, shredding leads, diabolical funk bass lines, pounding beats, haunting keyboards and catchy vocal lines NO LOVE LOST has come to the forefront of underground punk, rock and metal music. They have left imitators in their dust and are heading for the top of New Zealand's alternative music scene.
NO LOVE LOST was formed in late 2004 by founding member & now ex-guitarist Ryan Laracy under the name "WORST CASE SCENARIO". After losing and gaining multiple members (most notably gaining Nick Foster as Lead Vocalist, and ex-DAYBREAK bassist Matty Prattley) and the adding of synths in the musical mix, NO LOVE LOST was born.
After playing throughout the country and gaining a huge loyal following in Wellington Ryan Laracy suddenly quit to persue a more "responsible career". Thus NO LOVE LOST seemed doomed! But by moving Paul Lawrence from keyboards to guitars and the recruitment of Kier Fitzpatrick (ex-DEKLINE) to play keyboards and samples the band was sounding better than ever! But was not yet complete!
The band was introduced to Blair Pederson (ex-TUBUKU) who was willing to fill in with lead guitars to fatten up the live sound for the remainder of 2008, but after one live show he was sold and took up the position as lead guitarist full time.
NO LOVE LOST is currently working on their long awaited second album, which has yet to be named. The album will consist of some re-recorded tracks from 2007's groundbreaking EP "Butterflies in Straight Jackets", as well as some amazing new material that will leave its audience breathless!
The SPECIAL EDITION comes with a free live @ VALVE (RIP) DVD, filmed in August 2008. As well as the DVD there is the possibility of a previously unreleased live track of "Whiskey n Dry" (The Party Song) for the Special Edition version of this independent release.
The new album was recorded in the second half of 2008 at "Muses2murder" studios by Paul lawrence, and jointly mixed by Paul and Andrew "Clucky" Clark (BAITERCELL, KOG STUDIOS).
With a variety of shows booked for the new year NO LOVE LOST has found their sound and is coming to unleash their roller-coaster of a live show on a town near you! Be prepared New Zealand, then the WORLD!
