Beats Botanical is a collaboration from electronic music producer Gareth Bailey (Gkb) and multi-talented instrumentalist Beni Shanks (The Krates).

Surrounded by the native flora and fauna of Auckland's Waitakere Ranges, the two like-minded individuals got together in the studio to craft a series of lush soundscapes with live, recorded instruments to create their signature sound.

Edward Waaka's soulful, melodic tones proved the perfect complement to Gareth and Beni's spacious, organic productions and this, coupled with the powerful female vocals of Rita Steel (The Rickshaws), gave rise to Beats Botanical.

Now they are taking it out of the studio to lay it down live for those who dig their sound. Relax, kick back, enjoy the botanics of the beat.
