Coach

About Coach from Auckland

A 3 piece group with a diverse approach, Coach have had their sound coined as a mixture of 'Stoner-Jazz', and 'Dream-Pop', with a healthy serving of 'Blues-based influence' to boot.

Inspired by artists as wide-ranging as Bill Frisell, Trinity Roots, Mazzy Star, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, there is a deep-seated focus on group improvisation and playing 'to the moment', with an equal endeavor toward songwriting and form. The resulting shows are each unique experiences, but retain a collective sense of honesty and familiarity, which will connect to the emotions of the listener first and foremost.
