About Joshua Webb from Auckland
Joshua Webb (aka J-Dub) is an international pop/rap artist raised in the east of Auckland, New Zealand.
He performed at the Parachute Music Festival in both 2008 (with dancers) & 2009 (with a live band) which featured the likes of Switchfoot, Dave Dobbyn, Adeaze, Casting Crowns, Spacifix, Red & Israel Houghton. He has spent time in the USA in 2006 & 2008 performing, doing radio interviews & TV appearances in Atlanta, Georgia. Although he is yet to release an official single he has had radio play & done interviews for major & domestic stations in New Zealand. He has also performed at community events, schools, churches, shopping centers & major events.
In 2009 he co-organized the 'Work for Charity' hip hop event in East Auckland with DJ Taktix, a 4 hour show supporting a family who had gone through a tragedy. He performed in the event which also featured Smashproof, DJ Sir-vere, J Williams, Dei Hamo & many more top acts.
He is currently in the studio working on his debut album including radio singles & video clips. With catchy hooks, phat beats & tight rhymes tracks like ‘Turn Up The Pain’ & ‘J-Dub (On Ya System)’ which both have featured on Fame Games (Indie music com.) radio played throughout the UK, Europe, Australia & the USA.
