Aotearoa born and bred singer/ songwriter/ guitarist, Sue Thorby's unique songwriting incorporates a diverse blend of soul, jazz and blues to celtic, waiata, pop rock, and alt country. Dynamic, honest and soulful, Sue has warmth and wit that makes her an accessible and unforgettable performer.
Amongst her credits, Sue has opened for acts such as ENZO, Annie Crummer, Southside of Bombay, Paul Ubana Jones, Jenny Morris, Brendan Power and alongside Jane Devine, Bullfrog Rata, Karen Hunter and Banshee Reel. Sue has also earned a reputation not only as a soloist, but also as a tutor including with Arts Council Nelson and Te Whatukura, and as guitarist/ vocalist for all women band Queerfish, covers band Beyond Therapy, jazz duo OPC, Ceilidh band Scallywags, and leader of wild & wacky percussion band, The Lost Circus Pets.
