Raised on a healthy diet of 80's glam metal/AOR/melodic rock, MISTRESS was formed in Christchurch in 2008 to write and perform music in the style of that era.
Channelling sleazy melodic heavy metal from bands like WASP, Ratt, Motley Crue, LA Guns, Poison and the harder edged AOR bands like Blue Tears, Bon Jovi, Danger Danger, Signal, Icon & Def Leppard, MISTRESS brings you melodic hard rock with a deliciously sleazy edge!
MISTRESS got straight to work on releasing an EP which caught the attention of legendary rock producer Beau Hill, the man who helped make multi-platinum records fors Warrant, Ratt, Winger & Alice Cooper, who remixed two songs from the EP and one of those songs also being featured on 272 records heavy metal compilation cd ''Kill City 20''.
Playing a killer high energy show MISTRESS entertains with big hooks, wild guitars, joyful attitude and great songs!
