After playing in various bands for over a decade, the musical pairing that was to become Black Tuesday, started work on recordings in their Auckland studio in 2008. The result is a self-titled 6-track EP, released in July 2010.

The first single, May 15, is on radio rotation around the country, currently sitting in the 95bFM top ten. Matt Heath, breakfast host at 95bFM, describes May 15 as “a great, upliftingly down number.”

For live shows, Black Tuesday metamorphosise into a four piece band. Earlier this year, they received a popular reception as the highlight of the Borderline Music Festival, and have been invited to support international Goth rock stalwarts, Christian Death in august. The band are celebrating the release of their EP with a free show on July 29 at Whammy Bar, K road, Auckland. They will be joined by friends: The Brood, Teen Hygiene (Wellington) and Happy Devil soundsystem aka Mat rew.
