The Whiskey Show is Will Thompson, Hamish Nelson, Jeremy Aimers and Aaron Adamson.
Jeremy is the guitarist. He’ll jam to any classic rock, and likes “anything that doesn’t sound like, and isn’t, Nickelback.”
On the bass is Hamish, a Monty Python fan and a musical boffin living a double-life between rocking out and making sweet classical tunes on instruments half of us haven't even heard of.
Bringing the beat is Will, who’s also the designer for the band, and takes care of all their sweet artwork. Don’t ever challenge him to musical trivia either, because if you’ve heard of it, he’s listened to it.
Last but not least is Az. Born and raised in Liverpool, he moved to New Zealand in his early teens to wreak havoc on Upper Hutt. He cites Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest and Twisted Sister as his top four.
Ask them what they want to achieve with their music and they’ll tell you: “we just want to rock out, meet other musicians, have a few drinks and enjoy playing our music. If everyone else likes our music too, then that’s pretty f*ckin awesome.”
On the rocks, neat, however you like it, this is The Whiskey Show.
