Biff Merchants

Biff Merchants

About Biff Merchants from Dunedin

Ever felt like your life just wasn't living up to the expectations you formed whilst rotating in the womb Workmates talking about what size rims their cars have Sex life collapsing away like meat being cut at the kebab shop

Have no fear! Biff Merchants are here to help you whittle away the aching years. Residing in the bowels of Dunedin, Biff Merchants aim to whenever possible, provide a multi-sensory experience for people who like to get "disorientated". With their inspiration coming mostly from their own malnourishment, we can only guess at where Biff Merchants are going to go next. Debut album due for release March 09.

The bands style has been hard to pigeonhole but has been described as progressive, combining many different rock elements and styles. Biff Merchants compose both soundscapes and songs with varying structures, concepts and experimental techniques, as well as performing condensed accessible songs. Influences include ʻDunedin Soundʼ bands as well as HDU, and bands such as Pink Floyd and King Crimson, but influences are far-reaching and vastly varying.
