About Dose from Christchurch
Dose is a 24 year old DJ and producer hailing from Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand. He has been a part of the Christchurch Drum and bass scene for over 6 years now, playing along side countless internationals and shaping his own production sound along the way. His tunes have been receiving DJ support from the likes of The Upbeats, Bulletproof,State of Mind, Concord Dawn, Psidream, Klute, Ed Rush & Optical, Universal Project, Subtone, Nphect, Mindscape, and Catacomb to name a few...
2007 looks to be a promising year for Dose. He has been hard at work in the studio and secured a number of releases on various labels such as Revolution, Syndrome Audio, Red light, Cyanide, and Klute’s very own Commercial Suicide. The first label interest came in September 2006 when Optiv from "Cause for Concern" signed Dose’s "Derailed" and asked Dose to complete a 12" release for Red Light Records, which is set for release in June this year. Already released on promo and getting full release at the end of May are “Words of Wisdom” – Revolution Recordings and “Fear Feeder” – Syndrome Audio.
Recently Dose has been working on various solo projects as well as remixes and collaborations with artists such as Psidream, Bulletproof, Teknik and Menace. His blend of uplifting and neurotic beats is making Dose become a DJ sought after around New Zealand. With many international and National DJs packing more than a couple of his beats in their crates, Dose is quickly becoming noticed as one of New Zealand’s top up & coming producers.Keep your eyes peeled for forthcoming 2007 releases & collaborations…
