Since 2006 Christchurch three-piece Neil Robinson have been setting hearts and minds alight with their melt-in-the-mouth pop sensibility, combined with impeccable musicianship, and a killer live show.

Described as the best New Zealand high school rock band in 2006, Neil Robinson beat 623 other bands to be crowned the SmokeFreeRockQuest Grand Champions. In January, they opened the Fresh Produce stage at the Big Day Out Festival and since then have been building a loyal following around the country. When asked ‘which of the band is Neil’ lead guitarist and vocalist Chris Young says they got their pretty weird band name from a bassist they’ve all played with in other bands. “We thought it was a name that was a bit different and a conversation starter, we are a tribute to a great man!”.
