Sinfura

SINFURA is an alternative rock band which formed in mid 2005 with founding and current members Iliyas Hafiz and James Clynes. The band quickly became well known in Tauranga and Mount Manganui after playing many shows around the area.

In 2006, the band found itself busy playing shows along side an array of top NZ metal/rock acts such as Redline, Cell, Stylus, New Way Home, Second Theory, Slipping Tongue, 5Star Fallout and many more whilst going through a few changes to their lineup including the addition of a keyboardist, Logan Swinkels, and new drummer Edz Greaves.

At the end of 2006, Sinfura took their melodic rock sound into the studio with Zorran Mendonsa (TomorrowComesInSilence, Second Theory, Saving Grace) and recorded their debut EP, Lay To Rest, which is now available in Real Groovy stores nationwide and online at www.realgroovy.co.nz.

Now in 2007, the band has a solid line up, an EP under their belts and is ready to hit the music scene harder than ever!
