Let's Planet includes former members of The Chills, Sneaky Feelings and The Mockers, and various members also currently play with the Barry Saunders Trio, Hobnail Boots, and Dunstan Rangers. The band released their first album 'Favours' on Pagan Records in 1990 after building a strong reputation which included support slots for REM, Paul Kelly, and The Proclaimers. After more touring and supports for Crowded House and the Split Enz 20th Anniversary tour, the second album 'Loving Tongues' came out in 1993 and the band won ‘Best Original Band’ at the Wellington Music Awards. In 1994 Let’s Planet was selected to support USA band Throwing Muses. 'La Gloria', the 3rd album for Pagan, came out in 1998.

Let’s Planet has never stopped writing and makes occasional live appearances. The band put out an EP 'Bounce' in October 2007 and is working on 'Pearlers', a ‘best of’ compilation from the first three albums.
