Chamberlain
About Chamberlain from Wellington
Chamberlain was born out of friendship and an appreciation for music as a means to entertain and inform. Unlike so many young bands, Chamberlain has maintained the same line-up that started off back before the turn of the century.
Chamberlain’s sound has been compared to Incubus and the Red Hot Chili Peppers for their ability to fuse funk grooves with charging rock. There are traces of their early appreciation of heavier acts Rage Against The Machine, P.O.D., Foo Fighters and Shihad, but that is complimented by a musical sensibility akin to Switchfoot, Ben Harper or the Dave Matthews Band. It is an absorbing sound that has the listener both rocking along and engrossed.
Chamberlain are at once exuberant and experienced, both fresh and accomplished. Exciting prospects for sure, welcome to the future of New Zealand rock.
