Why You have got to hear and see this band - these are the guys that remain true to the rock gourmet of the past 35 years with ingredients that do not try to reinvent favourite recipes. A wheel is round , a Les Paul a Fender Strat and a Gibson SG were as perfect when they were invented as they are today. The boys know their current rock as well as their history, combining the two to make their own individual sound. This is stomp-your-feet , shake-your-body stuff ; no synths , no sequencing , no computers , no BS , just 4 to the floor one take (occasionally two) loud live rock WITH VERSATILITY MAAAN ! Who FLESH & BLOOD hail from Southern & Eastern Auckland , New Zealand. They recently changed their name (ex CRESCENDO) and became a 5-piece after adding Brian on Guitar. They formally came together (as opposed to just jammin' together) in 2005 - largely just to have fun and rock out. Having played some ferocious gigs over the past year and honing their sound at rehearsal the part-timers notion has now rapidly given way to a more lofty goals and a more determined focus. Playing Live, their hard-rocking covers of G'n'R, Nirvana, CCR, AC/DC, The Clash etc combined with classic Kiwi-Oz rock and their own original rockers always gets a raucous audience reaction. This is not quite a family band but three members are brothers. A long time mate and honorary bro on bass and the addition of a new guitarist completes the line-up. There is a definite chemistry that transcends the band as a unit into something more special than the sum of their parts. What FLESH & BLOOD are hard-rocking , possibly a little hard-of-hearing and all in all, proud-to-be-loud. But as their name suggests, they also have a forte-for-foreplay and their gigs are well known to build from a tender sweet vocal beginning to an out-and-out explosion of noise. But FLESH & BLOOD also love a sing-a-long. They are driven-by-the-rhythm and their platform comes first and foremost from a big and tight drum and bass sound.
