Silenzio & The Swift.

A five-piece ensemble pitched somewhere between the vocalized swing-soul of the mid 70’s, and a chamber orchestra fistfight.  
Voices swoon and howl, signifying, pleading.
Guitar shoots lightning in the spaces while Bass-lines threat  and thunder.
The Rhodes breaks hearts and fills the air like an unkept promise.
Cello and Sax figures entwine with locktight adhesion.
Drums ratatatat out rolls and booms.  

Performing together in the Capital for the year or so, Silenzio & The Swift have had the audacity to create an unlikely combination of musical and nonmusical elements.  Emotive without being Emo, sophisticated whilst avoiding sophistry, smooth but with rough edges enough to scuff the unwary.   

Showcasing and solidifying material prior to studio time late in 2008, these guys play soul-affirming, studious and  potent material wherever demand takes them.  

Silenzio & The Swift are tickled pink to be touring the South Island of New Zealand in early October 2008 with the inimitable PYRAMID SCHEME.  Looking forward to seeing you there.
