Fuelset

Fuelset

About Fuelset from Auckland

In mid 2005 Joe Murdie (Guitar) and Jason Anderson (Drums) fresh out of the ashes of Attica and in search for something new, came across Darrin Floyd (Vocals) and Tonie Pohatu (Bass), and the uncompromising and powerful all original metal outfit Fuelset was born.

Fuelset played their first live show together at Hysteria on 22 October 2005. Since then they’ve played numerous live shows throughout New Zealand & Australia, as well as constantly writing new material, seeing the band go from strength to strength.

In February 2007 Fuelset entered York St Studios NZ, with engineer Andrew Buckton to record two new tracks, Breakdown & The Everchanging, which were mastered in Australia at Studio 301.

Shortly after recording, Fuelset released their two new singles during an interview on the Rock's Axe Attack show with Paul Martin leading to airplay on many radio stations throughout both New Zealand & Australia.

Boarding a plane in February 2008 Fuelset began their self-funded tour of Australia, from Brisbane to Melbourne over two weeks. While on tour they filmed the video for'The Everchanging' was released on May 31st during a live interview on Alt TV's Rockzilla.

Fuelset then returned to their own studio to continue work on their debut album as a prelude to their expansive tour of New Zealand in August, September & October 2008.

Fuelset know that a band is not just about playing, "It's about putting in the hard work" and "putting on a show" (Joe - Fuelset). This is obvious when you watch them in the North Shore Event Centre, a small pub stage or no stage at all, Fuelset's intense and powerful live performance shows a stadium size quality and guarantees to provide any metal and live music fan with a good night's entertainment.
