The New Plymouth Rock Shop opened on the 18th of April, 2005. The store is located in the heart of the New Plymouth Downtown shopping district, with ample parking in front of the building. New Plymouth is a thriving musical community bustling with all year round activities. Festival of the Lights, Parihaka Peace Festival, WOMAD, G-Taranaki International Guitar Festival, Festival of the Arts, the list goes on…
The New Plymouth Rock Shop is proudly involved with all these festivals and the store has become the hub of the local musical community. We are the major sponsor of the very successful New Plymouth Singer/Songwriters evening, a regular local event that has become a major attraction in New Plymouth. We also offer regular Workshops on topics as varied as Finger-style Guitar, How to play Drums and/or Bass and How to use Recording gear.
We have over 300 square meters of floor space crammed full of great brands and four full time staff who are all consummate professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and know-how to the area.
