The state of music in NZ is..?
When it’s good it’s gone, when it’s bad it’s awful. We had a really good scene for a while there, with some really amazing bands. Unfortunately the majority of them have either left the country, broken up, or started writing rubbish songs.

What’s your favorite place to play?
Hamilton, always an awesome crowd.

What was your favorite show?

There’s been a few really memorable shows. All of the 1000 / Malenky Robot / Neverends shows were fantastic, especially at dirty old Eden’s bar. Playing the castle in Hamilton with the Mint Chicks and Die!Die!Die! was pretty rad.

What is your recording process?
Step1: Figure out a way of getting some stuff recorded.
Step2: Invest a bunch of money, time, and effort in getting it done.
Step3: Get the recordings 90% finished.
Step4: Watch it all fall apart and end up with no usable results.

What's been your best recording experience?
Recording our first ep at blast studios in Christchurch. We scammed free accommodation at the heritage hotel, and free hire of some awesome gear. The engineers didn’t quite get what we were doing, but were sympathetic to it. And we had a finished recording at the end of it.

What’s been your worst recording experience?
Pretty much all the rest. The engineer who fled the country with our master tapes, and the computer exploding during mastering are the first 2 that come to mind.

Favorite radio show/station?
The Rock n’ Roll Wire

The Future holds…?
We’re (allegedly) recording an album in August. We’ll play a bunch more shows in Auckland and Hamilton, and once the album’s done we’ll tour it around the country.
