Bang Gang Wellington Show Announced

Bang Gang Wellington Show Announced

Wednesday 10th September, 2008 12:00PM

Good Luck and Neon Sleep are proud to present:

Australian electro-hooligans “Bang Gang”. Doom & Hoodrat, for the first time in Wellington, sweating-up Good Luck Saturday October 18th in support of the new mix “D is for Disco, E is for Dancing”. If you’ve experienced a Bang Gang set elsewhere you’ll know what you’re in for, or else you've definitely heard about them and their insanity behind the decks and in front of the bar. They like to party, now staying up LATER and playing records LOUDER than ever before.

The Bang Gang posse have broken dance floors and people all across Australia and beyond, from their beginnings as a club night of the same name in 2003. Pioneers for what has been both a cultural and musical revolution around the world in the electro scene, they have attracted international attention as one of Australia's freshest-est, most forward-thinking club nights where electro, techno, indie, hip hop and more all combine tastily like a super-fruity smoothie. They have shared the stage with 2manydjs, Tiga, Miss Kitten, Captain Comatose, Adam Freeland, Felix Da Housecat, Dexter, Deep Dish, Cash Money and have toured in support of Mylo and Damian Lazarus to name only a few. Their famously debaucherous parties even spawned their own dance move.

Their ‘Light Sound Dance’ mix CD of 2007 (known simply as LSD) has become a cult release for the Modular label (home to The Presets, Cut Copy, Ladyhawke and a never-ending catalogue of party music) and the all new double-disc mix set is a hyper mash-mish snapshot of their funnest-dancefloor-EVER steeze. Good Luck is small, people. Don’t miss the party of the year.

Bang Gang. Saturday October 18th at Good Luck. With wingmen Marek and Kev Fresh.
