Darryn Harkness (Serafin, New Telepathics) returns

Thursday, 16th October 2008 12:00PM

Multi-Instrumentalist Darryn Harkness has recently returned to New Zealand from the UK, where he worked with a number of projects; as Guitarist, Keyboard and backing vocals for Serafin, Bassist for Deadflowers, and leader of his current multi-format project New Telepathics, 'Through songs, compositions, arrangements and improvisation - New Telepathics have released vinyl, CDs a DVD and cassettes through their own label, ..OUR REKORDS.' New Telepathics can take form as ten-piece bands or solo performances to Film. Prior to his time in the UK, Gore-born Darryn played percussion in From Scratch, and was a member Spacesuit.

Matt Brennan has developed a multi-part vocal style through both experimental/improv performances, and his one-man act Flick - combining beatboxing/vocals/guitar simultaneously. Matt is also vocalist & guitarist for Sci Fi Gonk outfit Cosmic Rays Of Death; who released the ' ...Of Doom' EP this year. In February he brought a favourite work John Zorn's gamepiece 'Cobra' to the unique setting of Indie music festival 'Camp A Low Hum', combining members of Trans-Am (US), Disasteradio, Thought Creature and more.

Joined by Alisatair Derrick on drums, the trio will perform two sets of sonic research.
