Video: The Coathangers - Down Down
Atlanta punks The Coathangers, who will be in New Zealand for two shows in the spring, have let loose a new video for 'Down Down'. Directed by Matt Odom, the video sees The Coathangers don fake eyelashes, winged eyeliner and mod outfits in a nod to the "amazing girl groups of the 60s", as singer Julia Kugel explains to NYLON:
“We are always categorised as a ‘girl band’ instead of just a ‘band,’ so for this video, it felt good to embrace that and at the same time acknowledging the strong talented women that paved the way for women in our industry."
