The winner is set to receive musical equipment from NZ Rockshops to the value of $10,000, The Edge Airplay Award with NZ On Air where their music and video will be recorded at York Street Studios and guaranteed airplay, plus a promotional package from myspace.com.

The National Final will be hosted by C4’s Drew Neemia and Elemeno P lead singer Dave Gibson. As well as performances by the finalists on the night, guest bands and previous Smokefreerockquest participants Bang! Bang! Eche! and Kingston are also set to entertain the crowd.

The final is an All Ages event. Tickets are $20 from Ticketmaster and will also be available on the night at the door.

For those are unable to attend the National Final in Auckland, C4 will be screening a one-hour special covering the event on Saturday 26 September. Half hour specials from the regional finals will also screen on C4 throughout September.
