Big Day Out 2010 - Second Announcement Rumours
Thursday, 22nd October 2009 12:00PMPicking the line up of the Big Day Out can be a very tricky procedure, one which you have to not let your own wish list get in the way of hard facts and reality.
This second list is a reflection of what the internet is whispering about which MIGHT be included in the second announcement.
- Rammstein - The German metal/rock band have made it public knowledge they are available and willing to play BDO
- Bat for Lashes - Currently no booked dates for Dec, Jan, but a South American stint in Feb
- Phoenix - no dates booked for Jan and have expressed they are playing some festival in Jan
- Vampire Weekend - yes a mysterious visit to Sydney in September - new album due in Jan 2010
- Flight of the Conchords - come on home guys
- Julian Casablancas - Ex singer from the Strokes (BDO veterans) with a new album out, heavy play on BFM
- Wavves - Mentioned he'd be here this summer and no Laneway call yet
- David Bowie - Yeah we're not letting this one go either

add your gig

pleaseeeeeeee.
please don't play games with me because if he did just happen to turn up my eyeballs will melt out of my eye sockets in joy.
And, Prodigy definitely won't go to Big Day Out 2010 as they were the headlining act at this years Bid Day Out.
Tegan & Sara? The Dead Weather? Since they've had new albums this year past, I'm totally going to have my fingers crossed (I haven't actually looked at their touring schedules though - could be impossible)
Of the ones listed, I'd definitely see Rammstein, Bat for Lashes, Vampire Weekend, Flight of the Conchords, Julian Casablancas and David Bowie if they DO turn up...
Gossip would be pretty sweet too. And Florence & the Machine. Although the latter is doubtful doue to Laneway.
Slipknot koz of the 10 year annerversery of the self titled album i think?
KsE
And Mudvayne
Also, Limp Bizkit, apart from possibly being one of the worst amalgamations of music in existence, will definitely not be playing. There's an interview with the director of BDO and he said they would never be welcome at BDO again after a 15 year old girl got crushed during their set and they were very slow to stop their show for her. She later died in hospital. No Limp Bizkit, collective sigh of relief from all things decent.
Blink 182
Jet
Placebo
Kid Rock
3 Doors Down
the Offspring
it won't happen, but Foo Fighters & David Bowie
Paramore?
black lips can go auckland on him. nasty style.
The Gossip would be awesome, as would Hot Chip.
I've heard The Pogues could be playing....
