The 3Ds New Zealand Tour 2010

Wednesday 13th January, 2010 8:21AM

The cat is officially out of the bag with Mystery Girl confirming details of The 3Ds New Zealand tour kicking off in their hometown in February:

Saturday 20th February 2010 – Radio One Birthday Show – Sammys – Dunedin
Friday 26th February – San Francisco Bath House – Wellington
Saturday 27th February – Al’s Bar – Christchurch

Tickets for all shows go on sale Monday 18th January from here at UTR, Slow Boat (Wellington) and discounted tickets available for the Dunedin show from the Radio One offices with a Onecard.

This is a rare opportunity to see one of New Zealand's best bands and the shows will sell out so get in quick as it's unlikely the tour will be repeated.

Aucklanders do not despair, you haven't been forgotten -  The 3Ds are performing at the Laneway Festival on February 1st at Britomart Square with a host of amazing acts including Echo and The Bunnymen, Dirty Three, The xx, Daniel Johnston to name a few - visit for more info.

The 3D’s live show has been described as a “mind-boggling, eye-popping, heart stopping affirmation of twin-guitar hysteria". At home they have shared the stage with everyone from Nirvana to U2, and in the US they toured with Pavement, Superchunk and Guided By Voices. Bono even gave them kudos for drinking his backstage rider on their Zoo TV tour.

More recently, they have been invited by Pavement to play at the prestigious All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the UK, happening in May this year. They are also performing at the inaugural Saint Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland on 1st of February 2010.

Whatever planet you live on, there is no band like The 3D’s, no band as “spookily transcendent or plain raucous" as David Mitchell, David Saunders, Denise Roughan and Dominic Stones – collectively known as The 3D’s.
