Bachelorette Replace Hockey At Laneway Festival

Unfortunately, Portland band Hockey have had to pull out of Laneway in Auckland. They've been replaced by Bachelorette - you can update your timetable here.

Last minute addition, Bachelorette, needs little introduction to fans of complex, mercurial electro-pop in New Zealand.

In early 2008, Annabel Alpers, aka Bachelorette, funded her first and ultimately groundbreaking United States tour. Along the way, she sold some records to n eager Ryan Adams at a small club in New York City and made fans out of execs from Chicgo’s Drag City Recors, who eventually released most recent album My Electric Family in the US. Packed with reverb, sweeping moods and surrealistic lyrical motifs, Bachelorette’s expansive techno- paranoia is way to large for any bedroom, which is why you should welcome her to the stage at Laneway Auckland. www.myspace.com/bachelorettepop

Bachelorette will play at 2.30 on the Red Bull Live Stage, which is when Hockey was supposed to play. Now that you know the good news, I have to let you know that due to unforseen circumstances, HOCKEY can no longer play Auckland Laneway, but…look…below… it’s still going to be the best day ever!
