song = grower, didn't like at much first now really do.
This is a 2010 release.
But yeah, totally bring on the new stuff if it's going to be a step forward...this band is hard working in touring ,yes, and their ambition has always been impressive, but hardwork/ambition and creativity don't necessarily go hand in hand, die die die being the case in point.
They're a good band, but don't get too excited.
DDD are the hardest working band in NZ and have been for the past decade. If REID did his music homework he would have noticed these songs were ready to be released in September last year and were written well before then. Infact DDD started recording another album before this one was even released! So to say "they still sound like 2004" is retarded and ignorant. It's unfair when a band has 'old material' that hasn't even been heard yet.
In saying that, I think you'll find it DOESN'T sound like the DDD of 2004, sure it revolves the strict simplicity of guitar, bass and drums but there are lighter more melodic shades that are new and refreshingly DIFFERENT.
Without prattling on I think you should inform yourself before you hurt yourself. Also actually give the album a listen before you decide to be insightful.
anyway die! die! die! the video and song and album for that matter are all f**king brilliant. you guys deserve the success this album will bring.
Musically, i find the song ok, but really, kind've disapointing. Here we are presented with another batch of DDD songs, once again the same old tricks..They're not BAD, they're good enough i suppose, but this is a band that is close to 10 years old. I was hoping for a little more progression..unfortunately, to me they are still sounding like 2004.
Shut up about the video.
Why cant such an amazing band have a good video??
Nick R really made this sound amazing.
Great work guys.
The song sounds incredible and thats all that counts.
good song and vid i reckon
