Operation Rolling Thunder Release Debut + Video

Dunedin's Operation Rolling Thunder have announced the release of their long overdue debut album III.  It's available now on vinyl with download direct from their label Monkey Killer Records and from our store from around midday.

Here's a few words from the label about the release after which you can sample the album via their new video for "Behaviour in the Presence of Strangers" or even better, listen while you read...

"Since their inception many years ago, Operation Rolling Thunder have been in the habit of doing things unconventionally; their live sets rarely break the thirty minute mark, they eschew bass in favour of a tight two piece format, and they utilise a sampler in lieu of vocals. Now their debut album is released on vinyl with download three years after it was recorded.

Operation Rolling Thunderís debut album has had an extended gestation period, having been recorded in 2007 at the Masonic Lodge in Port Chalmers by Dale Cotton (who has recorded High Dependency Unit, Mestar, Collapsing Cities and many more). The record was mastered for vinyl in January 2010, and pressed in the USA, finally ready for release in September 2010."
