It's been a long time since we've seen a Chris Cunningham video, so we were pretty excited when we came across this brand new one for "New York Is Killing Me" by Gil Scott-Heron off his excellent new record I'm New Here released earlier this year.
Gil Scott-Heron would be a nice addition to Big Day Out or Laneway don't you think...
If you're not familiar with Chris Cunningham, he's done videos for Madonna, Bjork, Autechre and The Horrors but is most famous for the his video for "Widow Licker" by Aphex Twin. It's easily one of the best music videos of all time - here it is in all it's glory, all 10+ minutes of it:
Incidentally, Aphex Twin have a new record coming out sometime soon, more on that next time.
