Forming when Alison Mosshart (VV) crashed on Jamie Hinze's (Motel) couch as a derelict muso back in 2000, the duo have stuck by their unique blend of dishevelled, sexualized rock and roll. Albums like Keep on Your Mean Side, and No Wow were critically received for their gutteral minimalism and aggressive lyricism, and tracks like 'No Wow', 'Black Rooster' and 'Love is a Deserter' were cross over successes with their undeniable hooks and minimalist, consistent video-clips.
