The Stone Roses Angered By Reunion Rumours

The Stone Roses Angered By Reunion Rumours

Friday 8th April, 2011 3:46PM

Reunion rumours for celebrated acts circulate the media pretty much non-stop, you have to imagine most bands would ignore or be flattered by them. Not the case with Stone Roses bassist Mani who has spoken out angrily (and rightfully so) against recent rumours about The Stone Roses reforming.  The rumours began to fly after The Sun published a story about singer Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire "burying the hatchet" at Mani's mother's funeral recently and subsequently reforming the band.

Mani has put an end to speculation about the reunion telling NME “I’m disgusted that my personal grief has been invaded and hijacked by these nonsensical stories...two old friends meeting up after 15 years to pay their respects to my mother does not constitute the reformation of The Stone Roses. Please fuck off and leave it alone. It isn’t true and isn’t happening.”
