Earn Cash From Kaiser Chiefs

In an interesting application of the 'pay what you want' download format, Kaiser Chiefs are allowing fans to personalize their latest release The Future Is Medieval, with everything from the track listing to the album artwork up for modification.

Twenty tracks are available on their site, and fans are asked to choose their favourite ten which then become a version of the album.

In doing this, Kaiser Chiefs have created a smart, interactive way to encourage fans to purchase the digital format of the album (it only exists online, anyway) rather than downloading the tracks for free. An added financial incentive for fans is the ability to host their version of The Future is Medieval on the band's site, and if anyone purchases it they receive a share of the profit. The code is available so you can host it on your own site, too.
